As families affected by Bristol Children's Hospital we are going to be attending The Bristol Health Scrutiny Committee on Wednesday 26th of March 2014 (venue to be updated) to raise our concerns about the hospital and to push for a public inquiry. The Health Committee is part of Bristol City Council and will be looking into the cardiac services of Bristol Children's Hospital. We are hoping to get as many attendees as possible and there will also be media present. We would like the department of health to start a public inquiry into the hospital to ensure no other families suffer needlesly. More and more families have been coming forward since the death of Sean and Luke. What is very upsetting is that both families were told changes had taken place and action plans put in that would ensure the unnecessary deaths of Sean and Luke would not happen again, despite this we know that this is not the case and other children have suffered since.
Luke and Sean's parents have set up an e-petition with Bristol City Council aimed at their Health Scrutiny Committe to enable the discussion of a public inquiry into the hospital and to gather strength in highlighting the issues to the department of health.
We would kindly request that you add your names to the petition by clicking the link . By doing this we can all help to make sure that the children who have died and suffered have not been igonored and to stop it happening in future. The management at the hospital need to stand up and listen and take serious action to ensure thier hospital is a safe place.
