The more stories told the better. Cardiff need to do something as it is there children going to Bristol. If they don't help support us, then this is going to keep happening. More families need to come forward. X

In 2009 my son had OHS. Before lucas was due for his op i told the nurses he was poorly. They wouldnt listen.they said was parents nerves. The done a NPA but did not wait for the result they went ahead and done his op. The day after his op lucas was very poorly n his NPA came back that he had a addinose virus. He had to get over his op aswell as this virus. His lungs collapsed n he was drownding. He had to have alot of physio and rest. I remember thanking Mr Parry n his words were dnt thank me he aint out of the wood yet. Every day was a step 4ward for lucas im just lucky hes here with us to. I reckon something needs to be done on ward 32 as they havent got a clue. Us mums knows best n they ignore everything we say. Xxxx

The hospital should be ashamed of themselves. They need to stop playing roulette with children's lives and put proper training in place for their staff, too much negligence going on in these hospitals. I hope the people responsible for this are having trouble sleeping at night! Thoughts to Luke and all of his family xx

Bristol childrebe hospital left my son Jack for dead after open heart surgery at 10 months old. My son went through unnecessary pain for something which could of been avoidable if a simple swab was taken before the surgery. This hospital is killing children and leaving children for dead. They can not get away with it. My heart goes out to all the families who have lost a child and to those like me who have nearly.

You are very Brave telling your awful story. What makes me so Angry is that if Brstol had been honest after Our little boy Sean died, your Luke would still be here. It is disgusting our boys suffered so badly on ward 32 and the hospital are trying to cover it up. Sean should never of been moved out of Picu day one post op having had major open heart surgery, but we were lied to as we were told he was in a high dependancy bed, turns out now they dont have any high dependancy at all and like your Luke, Sean was left to deteriorate on a basic ward with low nursing staff and only trainee doctors who could not recognise how critically ill Sean was becoming. We have been told he should not of had a cardiac arrest. We curently have a big complaint in with the hopsital but even that is stressful as they are not handling it properly, we have already had one complaint brushed under the carpet. I hope your stroy high lights the major issues in Bristol Childrens hospital and there will be a public enquiry.
